So, 's dad injured his foot the other day. It's a minor thing, just a sprain, but he'll be on crutches for a bit. This has made him leagues less tolerable than normal. He has decided to make up for his physical insufficiencies with nagging and stubbornness. Every task someone else is doing is being done wrong, never mind he can't do it himself. I honestly believe this must have been what the first few months was like around Ben Koffman Sr. when he lost his leg. Never have I blamed Chace and Orion for calling their dad "the old bastard" as though it were his proper title, but now I EXTRA don't blame them.

Please, please heal quickly, sir. Before I weep openly.

Now I didn’t own an N64 growing up, so aside from not really getting into Smash Brothers when it was starting, I missed out on really playing a lot of the good games that were on that system. The only time I did play was at my friends houses back in high school. Games like Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Quake 2 (lol) and 007 Golden Eye. Now fast forward to last Friday—Jess and I are at our local Laundromat and a kid, around 8 or 9 years old and related to the owner is hanging around and passing the time playing his cousin’s N64 on a small TV and I was all like “Holy crap! I haven’t seen this in years! It’s Awesome!” so he asked me if I wanted to play, and we set up a Death match.

We played two matches and had fun. I had trouble with the N64 controller, being someone who went from the Super NES to the PS1 controller, and because I’ve become used to better graphics, I ended up doing dumb crap like walking into dead ends and the like. And though we didn’t have any proximity mines in the level, the Golden Gun and one shot kills were fun to do. Anyway, Jess and I finished up our laundry and we left.

I like PVP for the most part. For awhile now I’ve been trying to find a good looking FPS I can bring to my friends to use for LAN purposes, mostly there’s Starcraft, Warcraft3 or Diablo. I figure an FPS can change things up a bit. I’ve found a few neat free ones and at least one mod of Half Life 2 for Golden Eye. But since my laptop can’t run HL2, I guess I need to keep looking.
